Pan Fried Cinnamon Bananas

These pan fried cinnamon bananas are soooooo good! They only take a few minutes to make and they transform boring old bananas into a drool-worthy snack or dessert. I eat my pan fried bananas all on their own, but they would taste amazing (seriously AMAZING) served over ice cream. Or you could eat them with yogurt. Or even on french toast or pancakes. They’re caramelized on the outside with a soft and sweet inside and make a great dessert topping. Yum!

My family goes bananas for bananas. (Sorry, I had to do it…). It shocks me how many bananas we go through in our house. Bananas might be one of the most boring foods out there… in my opinion anyway. But they are one of those foods that everyone will eat. Not everyone necessarily loves them, but pretty much everyone in our house will eat a banana without complaining.

I’ll be the first person to admit that I’m not the biggest banana fan, or at least not the biggest raw banana fan. Sure, I’ll eat them cut up in my bowl of Cheerios, or along with a spoonful of peanut butter when I need to curb my appetite. But I don’t usually look at the bananas sitting in our fruit bowl on the counter and think to myself, “Mmmmm… bananas”. (But that’s probably because I’m already heading towards the cookies… I really need to work on that…)

I think I need to change the way I think about bananas, because do you know what I DO love? Cooked bananas. Man oh man, I’m not sure what happens to bananas when they get heated up, but WOW, they start to taste sooooo good! Once they hit the frying pan they go from a “Meh” fruit to an “Ohhhhhh, yes!” dessert. They get super sweet, and almost tangy. From boring to amazing in just a few minutes!

Stay with me for a second… I was supposed to make homemade laundry detergent for the blog today. I have all the supplies ready to go, but I chickened out. I was looking at the directions for the detergent, and I was feeling a little overwhelmed at the thought of starting a project that was going to take 4 to 6 hours to finish. It’s been one of those days where I’ve been sitting in my office chair, staring at my laptop, waiting for something more exciting to happen, CONVINCED that if I stare at the screen for just another 5 minutes, something amazing is going to happen (so far, it still hasn’t happened, but I’ll keep waiting…).

I just wasn’t feeling the vibe for a difficult project today. So I can assure you that these pan fried bananas are quick and EASY! They totally satisfied my laziness for the day! And on top of being easy, they reminded me of the pan fried bananas my mom used to make when I was growing up. So good! So the treat was worth it!

Pan Fried Cinnamon Bananas

The full printable recipe is at the bottom of this post, but here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bananas
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Honey (I used raw honey, but regular honey works just as well)

The bananas I used were JUST ripe. You can see in the photo below that they are just starting to get very faint brown spots on them. Under ripe bananas would work well in this recipe too, but I wouldn’t recommend using overripe bananas. The bananas get softer when you cook them, so over ripe bananas would get really mushy.

Add the honey, butter and cinnamon to a frying pan.

Then heat them up until they are completely combined.

Add the bananas and cook over medium-high heat until they’re browned. You might have to adjust the temperature and cooking time a bit as you go. You don’t want them to burn, so make sure you keep a close eye on them as they cook.

After about 4 or 5 minutes of cooking, flip them over and continue to cook the other side. Make sure you move them around the pan so they soak up some of that yummy cinnamon sauce.

These are definitely best when they’re served hot. I sprinkled them with some sugar and ate them straight off the plate.

They would taste amazing on vanilla ice cream. I don’t have any ice cream in the freezer right now, but just writing this post and looking at all the photos is making me crave vanilla ice cream with pan fried cinnamon bananas on top. I’ll have to go out and buy some when I pick up the kids from school and daycare. I’m pretty sure no one will complain about stopping for ice cream!

I find the cinnamon adds a great depth to the flavour, but if that’s not your thing, you can definitely leave it out. The sweet bananas taste amazing on their own without any spices. My mom actually used to fry up bananas in concentrated orange juice (like a few spoonfuls of the frozen stuff, straight from the can), and they were sooooooo good!

Pan Fried Cinnamon Bananas
Serves: 2-4 servings
Prep time: 2 mins
Cook time: 8 mins
Total time: 10 mins
Ingredients
  • 2 Bananas, cut into ½” pieces
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 2 Tablespoons raw honey (or regular honey)
Instructions
  1. Combine the cinnamon, butter and honey in a frying pan over medium-high heat until melted and combined.
  2. Add the banana slices and cook for 4 minutes until the bottoms start to caramelize and turn golden brown. Adjust the temperature and cooking time as needed so that they don’t burn.
  3. Flip all the banana pieces and cook for another 4 minutes until the other side is golden brown.
  4. Serve immediately over ice cream, yogurt, pancakes or french toast.

Looking for a treat that’s just for one? Big bulk recipes are convenient if you’re feeding a family, but for a solitary cook, two dozen cookies is just too much! All those extras often just end up in the trash can – or worse, they hang around in the fridge calling your name until you end up eating a lot more honey and almond flour than you really wanted to.

Here’s a solution to that particular problem: a quick treat sized perfectly for a single person, and without the prep and cleanup of a whole big recipe. Banana slices fried in coconut oil are crispy and caramel-sweet on the outside but warm and soft in the middle. Add a drizzle of warm honey on top, and it’s officially a party. Without any nuts or egg ingredients, the recipe is autoimmune- and allergy-friendly. And it only takes a few minutes, so dessert is done almost as soon as you decide you want some!

Coconut oil is the best choice to use here, because it’s very saturated and heat-resistant. Butter or ghee would also be good, or if you like the taste of red palm oil, you could also use that. Love it so much you want to share with a friend? No problem: you can just as easily double or triple the recipe to feed as many people as you like.   • 1 banana, sliced;
  • 1 tbsp. honey;
  • Cinnamon; (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. coconut oil;

Preparation

  1. Combine the honey with ¼ cup of warm water and mix well.
  2. Heat the coconut oil in a skillet placed over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the banana slices to the skillet and fry for 2 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the skillet from the heat and pour the honey mixture on top.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.

pengen yang melting alias lumer di mulut, coba-coba yang satu inii😍

Bahan-bahan

  1. 3 buah pisang raja tonto (atau pisang apa saja)
  2. 1 butir telur, kocok
  3. 2-3 sdm tepung terigu
  4. secukupnya tepung roti
  5. minyak goreng
  6. isian:
  7. meises cokelat
  8. potong dadu keju cheddar/quickmelt

Langkah

+-20 menit
  1. Kupas pisang, potong bagi dua dari tengah (bukan memanjang), lubangi bagian tengah pisang menggunakan ujung sendok sampai 3-4cm

  2. Isi pisang dengan potongan keju dan meises

  3. Celupkan pisang ke dalam telur (sampai menutup bagian atas lubang yang telah diisi)

  4. Lumuri pisang dengan tepung terigu, kemudian buat/ulangi lagi proses nomor 3

  5. Lumuri pisang dengan tepung roti

  6. Panaskan minyak goreng, goreng pisang hingga berwarna kuning keemasan

  7. Sajikan pisang hangat-hangat dengan taburan meises/sesuai selera 😄 *potong pisang goreng untuk merasakan lumernya😍*

Bahan-bahan

  1. 10 buah pisang kepok
  2. 6 sdm tepung terigu
  3. 2 sdm tepung beras
  4. 2 sdm mentega (yg telah di cairkan)
  5. 1 sdm gula
  6. 1 sdt garam
  7. secukupnya air
  8. secukupnya minyak
  9. 2 sdm gula pasir (buat ditabur)

Langkah

  1. Kuliti pisang, lalu potong-potong sesuai selera (kl aku 1 buah aku potong menjadi 3 ato 4 bagian, aku nga buat kayak kipas, hehehe)

  2. Campur semua bahan sampai dengan kekentalan yang pas

  3. Masukkan pisang kedalam adonan tepung, lalu goreng hingga coklat kekuningan, angkat

  4. Sisihkan pisang yang telah di goreng, beri taburan gula pasir, selamat menikmati.

Langkah

  1. Adoni tepung terigu dngn bawang pth+sedikit garam,aduk jngn terlalu encer.

  2. Masukan pisang yng sdh dibelah ke adonan tepung terigu

  3. Gulingkan ke tepung panir sambil ditekan”(biar tepung panirnya nempel)

  4. Panaskan minyak,klw sdh panas goreng pisang sampai matang,sajikan

Berikut ini merupakan resep renyah pisang goreng yang dikreasikan dengan tambahan cokelatagar rasanya semakin enak dan kulitnya pun renyah.

Bahan-Bahan Membuat Pisang Goreng

  1. Pisang raja, 20 buah.
  2. Tepung terigu, 250 gram.
  3. Telur, 2 butir.
  4. Cokelat masak pekat atau dark cooking chocolate, 200 gram. Iris atau sisir.
  5. Telur ayam, 4 putih. Ambil bagian putihnya saja. Kocok lepas. Untuk celupan.
  6. Tepung panir atau tepung roti, 200 gram.
  7. Air, 700 ml.
  8. Susu bubuk, 2 sendok makan.
  9. Gula pasir, 2 sendok makan.
  10. Garam, secukupnya.
  11. Margarin, 2 sdm. Lelehkan.

Cara membuat:

  1. Siapkan wadah. Tuang tepung terigu dalam wadah tersebut.
  2. Gunakan tangan, buat lubang berupa cekungan di bagian tengah tepung terigu tersebut.
  3. Tuangkan 2 butir telur, sedikit garam, dan margarin yang telah dilelehkan ke cekungan tersebut. Aduk bahan bersama tepung terigu dengan bentuk melingkar dan gerakan memutar. Sambil tetap diaduk, tungkan sedikit demi sedikit air ke dalam adonan tersebut. Aduk terus sampai adonan tercampur rata.
  4. Siapkan wajan anti lengket dan panaskan di atas kompor dengan api sedang kurang lebih 20 menit.
  5. Tuang adonan yang sudah jadi ke dalam wajan tersebut seperti membuat dadar. Lakukan sampai adonan habis.
  6. Setelah semua dadar jadi, ambil satu lembar dadar tersebut. Taruh satu buah pisang, bisa juga Anda membelahnya menjadi beberapa bagian agar tidak terlalu besar di atas dadar tersebut. Taburkan sisiran cokelat di batas pisangnya. Gulung dadar seperti Anda menggulung kulit lumpia sampai pisang terbungkus rapat. Lakukan sampai dadar habis.
  7. Celupkan setiap pisang yang telah terbungkus dadar ke dalam kocokan putih telur.
  8. Kemudian, gulingkan ke atas tepung panir atau tepung roti sampai seluruh tubuh pisang yang terbungkus dadar tersebut tertutupi tepung panir tersebut.
  9. Simpan pisang yang siap digoreng tersebut di dalam freezer terlebih dahulu kurang lebih 30 menit.
  10. Panaskan minyak secukupnya, untuk menggoreng pisang tersebut. Pastikan pisang terendam dalam minyak tersebut.
  11. Goreng pisang hingga warnanya berubah menjadi kuning keemasan. Angkat dan tiriskan.
  12. Sajikan dalam piring saji. Taburi di bagian atasnya dengan kayu manis atau gula palem bubuk untuk rasa yang semakin enak.

Pisang goreng yang lebih menarik dibandingkan yang dijual di tukang gorengan ini bisa Anda jadikan salah satu andalan camilan di rumah. Coba juga sajikan tempe mendoan sebagai menu gorengan lainnya. Resepnya tidak kalah mudah dan cepat untuk dibuat.
